There is no much to say about this book that hasn’t been said before. The first book is truly the main source of mystery and literally the source of more questions. Super easy and friendly to read! (It is a kid’s book after all) I am so in love. I couldn’t stop myself from reading it, I do find illogical some of the “traps” to protect the stone… but I mean… that is the whole point I think, getting Harry and Voldemort to kill each other (uuh spoiler)!
I loved so much the Quidditch narrator! It was so funny! I think that was almost my favorite part of the story. I cannot stop thinking about the movies and that I would like to watch each movie after each book. Not to see the differences in plot but to see the elements present in the movies that bewitched all the audience since the first time it was aired.
This “new” world that J.K. Rowling creates is so mystifying and so appealing to every single reader. I said “new” because I am like 14 years late to the party… but well, what am I going to do? I am trying to compensate the lost time… I will read book after book to create and imagine this amazing world that fill us all with fantasies, dreams, laughter, and possibility.
“Possibility” is one strong word that I will adjudicate to the success of this franchise. The fact that this all happened in front of our eyes is just so incredible possible. How many things have happened right there that we do not see them? That moment when you had your phone on your hand and you placed it on the couch and then it is not there anymore and you waste 4 hours looking for it until you find it in the place you left it… those little moments, the fact that this story is narrated in the now, in this universe, makes it all possible and more fantastic.
Also, I am keeping one of my promises… I am starting and I will try to finish this saga this year. I do not see it so impossible after all… Nothing is impossible in a world full of mysteries and secrets.
PS: I just loved this…
“So – after that obvious and disgusting bit of cheating” “Jordan!” growled Professor McGonagall.
