Goodreads author A.G. Riddle brings to us an amazing trilogy that starts with the myth of the creation of humanity. However, multiple myths converge in this story creating a monstrous alternate world. Recurrent topics are used, such as the Nazism, relics, antique and lost forgotten cities, and even forces outside the real of this world.

The Nazies were well known for being obsessed with the treasure hunt of relics, art, and knowledge. They are very well know for being a common topic for movies, books, myths, and stories, but Riddle uses it in another level. The book talks about scientific theories that add a sense of reality to the story and that back up the conspiracy that goes around in the text. One literally reads and find it possible and relatable. Humanity has been doomed for a long time, and such as the myth of the creation, we see here a myth of the end of times.

The story and the narration are mainly linear. This story is narrated in third person and sometimes in first person, who regularly leads to the past, the present, and the future to collide amazingly in an outstanding conclusion. The story is not easy to follow or to understand at the beginning, but all books need to be read to its end to understand what is going on, and this title twists the plot in such a way that makes it impossible not to gasp at it.

Multiple questions afloat throughout the story and happily, most of them were answered. More of these questions are created as we get closer to the end of the story. The novel is rich with different characters that contributed to build the suspense, doubts, questions, and theories. Evolution is a constant topic in the book as it either kills humanity or forces it towards evolution. The hegemony has always feared the unknown as the villains prove it to the readers. Nonetheless, the intrinsic need of humanity of destroying what cannot be controlled or what might threaten humanity, takes us to believe that all groups operate under the same ideology of survival at all its costs. This will justify the need of humanity to destroy itself as a way to destroy what threatens it which is a chocking contradiction.

At the end of the story, multiple questions were answered but one question stays… Are those who saved humanity thousands of years ago, going to help humanity once again? Or are we in fact, late?

I totally recommend this novel if you are into conspiracies and high science fiction fantasies. A story that will take you to multiple parts of the world and that explains or at least tries to explain some questions that have hunted millions of people. Incredible reading, and totally worths its time.
