I think I kind of wrote this already on my blog’s bio, but I want to elaborate a little bit more. My love for books fired up like a forest fire when I read โThe Hunger Games.โ I know that is way too late, but that is how it happens. That was the first book that I read and that made me feel empty after finishing the series. I was just not able to understand what was going to happen with my life after that, and then I thought โWhat am I going to read now?โ That moment is what initiated my hunger for reading.
I then made it my carrier, and I started to learn about history, criticism, analysis, poetry, drama, North American and British literature, but those were just classes. Every time I read, I learn something. Every time I read, I get excited to familiarize myself with the theory. Every time I read, I want to read more about that genre. Readingย has made me grow and also makes me see everything in a different way. It makes me feel good not only for learning but because it makes me get a little bit closer to what I love.

Get a book makes my heart pump faster. It makes me shiver with excitement. Every book is a new world, a new adventure, ideas that are being immortalized for generations. Literature is an art that has been used for decades as a media to communicate. Literature and books have been weapons, and they have been considered dangerous by the oppressing forces. Ignorance fears the books and people who have been devoured by ignorance will find the way to eliminate or censure this art.
Literature, books, reading, open the eyes of the people. It transmits ideas. It makes the reader aware of the society (depending on the books of course XD) It also creates adventures, worlds where you can scape. For years, reading became an object to fill my lack of something. It gave me stories, countries, and it made me want to go out and discover the world beyond the lovely pages that had changed my life.
However, I do not think that reading is hoarding books. I do not think is a fashion thing or a trend that will make you look smarter or cooler. Hipsters, geeks, and nerds are now in fashion and everybody wants to be one and be cool.
Nonetheless, it is nothing like that for me. Reading is just not to hold a book, take a picture, and wait for people to price me for reading. I do not do it for that, I do it for myself and my own good. I like to talk to people about books. I like to recommend the books that will mark their lives. I like people that read for entertainment and for themselves because that is what books are for, to be enjoyed and not to make you feel cool.
So take a book, read it regardless of what it will take you to finish it. This is not a race. It will not add value if you read 300 books in a year if you remember only the last one you read. My favorite book, as Charlie said is always the one I read last.
