Would you love to live a beautiful cliche? “Every single cliche he can possibly think of; that is what he feels when he kisses Blue” ― Danni Maxwell, A World in Blue

Pride, LGBTQI, Love, Netgalley, ebook

Tech Summary: Read from June 18, 2018, to June 19, 2018.

Hello, my book royalist! Quick story time! I had forgotten that I had signed up for Netgalley after 2 not so pleasant experiences and because I can only “wish” for books which I find annoying -_-. So after a long time, I went back to the page and read this book’s synopsis and I loved it! and the best part: it was up to request ❤ so I did, and I devour the short story!

If you follow me on Twitter or Goodreads, you might have seen me rambling and freaking out for this story! and I should totally freak out! So I am going to divide this in what I liked and what I think can be improved, as a reader… so no hard feelings ❤

What I love:

  1. I love the fact that the author makes the main character gay without being obvious or making a fuzz about it. No big out of the closet situation and drama. He is just who he is without a need to explain himself or who he is. KUDOS! Being gay shouldn’t be the main event… only for oneself.
  2. The story is literally a dream! Not only for the magic encounter, the love story, or the perfect chemistry that they have but because Maxwell does exploit the dream of all bookworms! The perfect place to read, to eat, and to take your pet, and who wouldn’t like to be a writer? and have that many opportunities?

What is there to improve:

  1. Well the narration is third person singular and that is fine, but I found it sometimes complicated when the author referred to Blue or to Oliver as “he”. We are dealing with a relationship of two guys, so making it a “he” adds a lot of ambiguity to the story as you just don’t know sometimes who is doing or saying what.

Would you love to live a beautiful cliche?

This was a ARC from #Netgalley and you know that this is unbiased ❤
