Socia Networks to share book content? and how to gain followers?

social media, how to succeed in Twitter, how to succeed in Facebook, how to succeed in Instagram, how to gain followers, how to get people to follow you in pinterest

Hello Book Royalists!

Here I am, again, wondering and trying to understand a little bit more about the book community and the social media that we use to interact with our bookish friends!

So, if you have seen our posts, you can see that at the very bottom, go and check, there I have like all the links for all the social networks that we have and we use to interact with people! and I think I will share my confusions… XD

FB Page: I, for some reason, think that Facebook is dying… I don’t use it that much personally, and for bookish photos, followers, content and all… it does not seem a good option. We don’t have that many followers there, but I just don’t think that FB has that much traction anymore. Or am I wrong? am I doing something in the wrong way?

Twitter: If you follow us there, thank you! if you don’t, we will appreciate it haha I was talking with Book Princess Reviews that Twitter makes us feel invisible haha I tweet, retweet, comment, and liked by other people, but if I say “hello” I hear the echo haha I have had good interactions also with Books and A Fangirl so they make it nicer haha. But again, how do you manage to have 50 RT, 130 likes? Or mainly, how do you manage to make people see you?

Instagram: Oh Instagram! We love Instagram! We even love the post from LegenBooksDary where she hosts her favorite Instagrammers of the week! I love to get to Instagram and swipe down every single day to see nice pictures of books, stories, give likes, comment, and imagine that day where we would have the same amount of likes as the rest of people. I think that social media is such a complicated tool! what is the formula? Which HTs to use? how do you make people see you? and we invest a lot of time taking pictures 🙂 and I just hope people like them XD

Pinterest: I like Pinterest because it let me dream of beautiful things! I also have done a lot of things from there, and the Kingdom has its own dashboard that has been shared in a few of our posts! 3 activities that book lovers might find dreamy! and 3 activities that book lovers might find dreamy! Part 2! However, I am not sure if that works with HTs or how to make people seen your blog or what… Pinterest is quite a mystery! I have seen people pining some of our pictures there ❤ but I have no clue how that happened XD

QUESTION TIME!

Besides these platforms, which other ones do you use? How do you make it out alive and notice?!

Make sure to follow us on any of the platforms!

It is frustrating when you can’t seem to get interactions with people. I’ve run several fan accounts over the years and I’ve come to learn that following accounts with the least amount of followers and establishing a bit of communication early on can help. Your comments and stuff are least likely to be ignored by someone who isn’t getting that many notifications. I personally have come to not care about it, I just like seeing tweets about the things I like. Although with my tony stark/mcu twitter account I have gotten several mutuals who do like and occassionally comment.

Well, you make a really valid point! Maybe I should or we should try to aim for people at the same level? I am not sure how to say it haha. Like I reply to all tweets and like and retweet, so I get that if I get someone trying to talk to me I will reply because I don’t have that many, but if you get bombarded every day with 1000s of notifications… then I don’t think you can reply to all of them… and I will follow your attitude, I will stop carrying XD

      Thank you for commenting!

I stopped caring because I noticed that it hindered my enjoyment of what I would be tweeting about. When you put too much pressure on yourself about how many followers you have or how many people like your stuff, it takes the fun away. Sometimes it does suck and I see people conversing on my timeline and I think, “why can’t that be me?” But then I see another tweet about what I like and I’m like, I’m here to enjoy this thing, who cares about the rest. Regardless of the followers and stuff, I see tweets of opinions I agree with and I don’t feel alone and that makes all the difference for me sometimes 🙂

❤ I am literally crying! Amen sister Amen! I am so w.ever with so many things around… like I don't care, and I see that I can actually have conversations with people here! I love to spam you over to twitter haha sorry not sorry XD and you are right, that struggle on why that is not me vs the who cares? I am just gonna have fun and let ourselves go with the flow! haha

Thank you! :3 I mean it! (and I was not crying but you get me XD)

Social media is always so so hard to figure out. If you find the secrets, please let me know, lol. But at least Twitter seems more figured out recently. 😉 Wonderful post! 🙂

It’s very frustrating not getting any kind of feedback on social media, especially the likes and comments. I love Twitter, though I’m still not sure how people get the comments, likes and RTs on their stuff. I’m under the impression that it’s a lot like the blog hopping needed for book blogging, and I know others are better at using the right hashtags and starting awesome threads. I’ve also found a couple of 1-hour chats that tend to get a lot of views.

I don’t see the appeal of trying to maintain a Facebook page, and I’ve been disappearing from Facebook for a few months now. (I agree that it’s dying.) I’m not sure how to use Pinterest for blogging. I was pretty good at getting people to repin stuff when I used a personal account, but I am afraid of falling into the trap of getting addicted to Pinterest again. I am under the impression some people in the book community use Snapchat or Tumblr, but I don’t know how those work for this.

I have no idea how they use Snapchat or Tumblr for this haha I use it to reblog pictures and that is it XD It is frustrating that you try so hard and you go by invisible and unseen XD, but I understand that the amount of people around the social networks is huge!!! FB meh, is there, I share things there, I really don’t care much about it, but I have been contacted by small indie publishers through there, so I guess that is why I keep it 🙂
I need to understand a lot of the social media, like does HTs, those 1-hour chats XD but I try to do that to like, comment, and retweet things others say that I find funny or interesting, but again, the feed is so clutter that I don’t know sometimes what is going on XD

      THANK YOU FOR COMMENTING! ❤
