Hello book royalists!

I was browsing around in Audible.com and saw this book and I read the synopsis and added to the wish list… right, because I have so little books there that why not add another? Haha. Then I was watching TV, don’t judge me, and I saw the trailer of this book… and I bought the book and listen to it in that very spot!

You can enjoy this and other books if you wish up for Audible!

Never have I ever… read a book and struggle with the rating?

**takes a shot**

First things first! I love the new covers and also the old ones. This is quite a nice and beautifully describe dystopian world. It is like a whole regresion and deevolution of humanity into a more dark age. But regardless of how much they go back to the old times… their never ending love the love for fuel percist.

While listening to this book, I saw how the author has this “dark” tone and feeling of critizing England society, like if he was critizing it back in the harsh history of the victorian era. After saying this… I have the same feeling that I got with “The Maze Runner”… what is the purpose of a moving town (or the maze)? And why are they still moving? I understand that thausands of years have passed and mostlikely that is the whole point of the story… to highlight the illogicallity of humanity? and of custom?

I have to admit that I enjoy this a lot and laughed a few times! but the “me” got in between the enjoymen of the story. Why are they still moving???? okay, if they didn’t move, there would be no story so… XD

“That’s one of my best shirts!” “So?” she replied without looking up. “It’s one of my best legs.” ― Philip Reeve, Mortal Engines

I feel that there is some lack of explanation or lack of logic on this. Don’t get me wrong, the book is creative enough and had really good elements. It has a lot of action, drama, and frustration for all characters, but it didn’t make me gasp or yelp out loud, and yes, I do that, I was there just listening and having fun. The resolution seems too hmm “and we didn’t do much but thank you! Let’s be happy!” What I did like is that the author incredibly enough evolve this story not from the same point but created new and correlated drama.

But we all know that there is nothing like happiness in a dystopian kind of world. Got the second book already to see if it gets my gears moving for this saga!

No I have them on kindle but the covers are like the new ones. And I’m not very har ahead, just where they get drugged by the people in that small town. I haven’t gotten any ready done today but hopefully I’ll get farther ahead tomorrow. And good luck with the books for work! That sounds like so much!
