Welcome to a new series of events that lead me to buy more books without being afraid. We all have that tendency to buy books without thinking twice about that – or maybe it is just me doing that – but something that I have been done since I started reading more often is to… buy all the books of a series even when I haven’t even read the first one.
Someone said or tweet that they don’t understand or don’t know how they do that! That is something only brave people can do, but this is something, of course, everybody can do. This is a leap of faith, a jump into the abyss, a trusting activity with the writing community. I will call myself brave and I will give you some examples of the series that I have bought all at once without reading the first one.
Harry Potter
This one I was so sure that I was going to like because it is Harry Potter and there isn’t a way not to know what Harry Potter is about. Watched a movie and you liked it? Then try the books and fall hard for them.
And I Darken
I have books 1 and 2 of the series and I have read mixed reviews of these books. Some people find it fascinating and others finding horrific, but I love the covers and then BookOutlet – affiliate link at the top of the post – had only those 2 books, so I got them. Hardcover super cheap and beautiful. What do I expect? absolutely nothing haha that is what I usually like my books XD

Game of Thrones
I have been talking about this saga for a while now, and I started collecting all the books one by one throughout the years because the Spanish versions were beautiful. I had them all when I read Game of Thrones and I really enjoy the books. Have I read the others? Not yet. Am I planning on doing so? One day? yes…
