You all know that I am obsessive and compulsive which is a funny combination, not for my wallet though, but I have thinking about how to improve the looks of my book collection, and I just find the perfect way to do it!
We have heard for a long time that Orange is the new blank, and for this post, it is totally true, black book covers are incredibly beautiful and if they are hardcover, even better, but you think that because you haven’t seen this incredible books to pimp up your bookshelves!
The Crucible by Arthur Miller
I read The Crucible when I bought it in Salem, Massachusetts, so I got a copy from the real place! But I would have died to have bought this version instead! Which I might do so that I can go over this incredible play once again! Historical fiction and simply a must-read if you are a fan and lover of the history of Salem! “The Crucible” is this incredible play that you can read in a few hours and that will give you all the information you need about this historical time!
The Call of Cthulhu by H.P. Lovecraft
Who does not love Poe? Who does not love Stephen King? so, if we do, how come we are not going back to the incredible author that inspires the modern king of horror and fiction? H.P. Lovecraft not only wrote horrific stories but created worlds of unimaginable despair and nightmares. “The Call of Cthulhu” is a perfect addition to your Penguin Orange Classics, and more when you see it reaching out from your book!
The Joy Luck Club by Amy Tan
I mean… look at this cover! It is simply beautiful! Look at the dragon wrapping itself around the penguin! “The Joy Luck Club” the story of multiple Chinese women and their families and how they struggle in a world that is simply against women, adapted to the big screen in moving film that will make you cry and want to read more about those women that get together to play an ancient game.
East of Eden by John Steinbeck
Another one to your Steinbeck’s collection! If you read the other orange collection, you will find yourself for sure adding this to your books! “East of Eden” is this family saga fiction that tells the intertwined story of two families who reenact Adam and Even’s fall from grace and the toxic rivalry of their two songs. For those who love classics and incredible perfect storytelling, this is a book you must get!
It does not matter if I own half of this collection, I know I am getting them all now!
I mean, can you imagine how sensational they will look at my Instagram/bookstagram feed?
