5 books about doggos! Show me the doggos!

Have you heard about โ€œfox hunting with dogs”? No? Well it was such a barbaric and cruel โ€œsport”, up there in England and Wales! You know the rich have these weird costumes like… going on a trip with a bunch of beagles to hunt little red foxes! What are we? Back in 1700? That used to happen but back in February 18, 2005 this became an illegal practice in those countries! And we better celebrate this incredible event!

And based on current events, I think that we should commemorate and celebrate the existence of the man/woman’s best friend! So let’s check this list of 5 books about dogs that you should read if you want to cry!

A Dogs’s Purpose by W. Bruce Cameron

I mean… you have to read to the synopsis of this book! I got the chills! I have heard around that this is simply one of the sweetest stories I will ever listen, watch or read! Can you imagine what is to hear the story of a dog on how he finds meaning through his existence while loving unconditionally his โ€œowner”? Only thinking about that I get my eyes all watery!

A Big Little Life by Dean Koontz

When you write about someone, you are immortalizing that someone! Dean Koontz a famous author who writes mainly about horror, thriller and mystery decides to write about his beautiful Trixie… a service dog that they adopted since she was 3 years old. A memoir, the story of Trixie and Koontz is not a fiction, but it is written and was lived with the same passion!

Marley & Me by John Grogan

Tell me that you have watched the movie and that you cried your eyes out as I did? Because this was one of the most annoying and heart-breaking movies, I have seen in my life! It is so unfair that they can be your best friend and last so little in our lives…

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein

I think this is the second most famous book in this list, besides โ€œMarley & Me”. The movie, released last year, tells the story of an incredibly smart dog that recounts all his live with his master… this is simply a direct ticket to tear land!

Two Good Dog by Susan Wilson

Again I got the chills! This is such a beautiful story that we cannot let pass! This story is just a good mix of teenage problems, motherhood struggles, rescuing dogs and how those dogs are the ones that at the end… rescue us! You know that life is better with a hairy and loyal friend that, hopefully, will always be with you!โ€‹
