Psychological thrillers are so messed up, and I love them! The first one I can remember reading is included in this list, so I am so excited to share it with you all! I have read some other titles and audiobooks that might be included in this list or not, but you will need to stay tuned to our site to figure that out!
I am not a psychologist, nor do I have any training to understand the complexities of the human mind, but when you are reading thrillers, the accuracy does not matter that much since it is a thriller and not a non-fiction book.
So let’s just sit down and relax while reading some twisted stories that will have you spinning!
Alicia was found standing in front of the dead husband covered in blood and not talking. She went to court, but she never talked. She is in a hospital, and she is still not talking. She seems a bit violent, and it seems that just one doctor wants to help Alicia!
This is my first and favorite psychological thriller of all times! I enjoyed it so much and I keep on recommending it… I tried the audiobook so I can recommend you to try that version if you haven’t done is so!
Half-hidden by forest and overshadowed by threatening peaks, Le Sommet has always been a sinister place. Long plagued by troubling rumors, the former abandoned sanatorium has since been renovated into a five-star minimalist hotel. Elin Warner wants to go and she has take some time off from her job as detective to go after Issac and his fiancee invited her to go.
But Issac’s fiancee goes missing… and Eli must trust her instincts if they hope to find her. So what there go Eli’s vacations…
I am not a fan of celebrities’ book clubs. However, this book seems to be quite twisted – just how I like them! A big sanatorium? A disappearance? A detective and a promised to be phycological distressing? Count me in!
There will be assumptions. You will create your own history. You will find villains everywhere. Someone might be crazy or not… All of this can be the ex-wife or the new wife. There will be a love triangle, but all we know is that there might not be one at all . So what is happening? who is doing what?
A peer from work loved it and recommended it so well that I had to get it! and I did the next time I visit my local library and for my happiness it was on sale! I like the Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanen wrote this book about women in two different writing stiles and two different point of views, so I am so into it! Hopefully, this will be part of my Halloween reads!
Anna Fox lives alone—a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times . . . and spying on her neighbors.
How not get psychological when the main character suffers from agoraphobia and anxiety!? How not get the story twisted when we can’t trust what she sees? But is she not trustable? or are we just victims of gaslighting? The movie is available on Netflix, and I need to finally read this book! Who else needs 16 day weekends to get their TBR down to 0?
Jacob Finch Bonner was once a promising young novelist with a respectably published first book. Today, he’s teaching in a third-rate MFA program and struggling to maintain what’s left of his self-respect; he hasn’t written―let alone published―anything decent in years. When Evan Parker, his most arrogant student, announces he doesn’t need Jake’s help because the plot of his book in progress is a sure thing, Jake is prepared to dismiss the boast as typical amateur narcissism. But then . . . he hears the plot, and as Jacob was preparing to suffer more humiliation, Jacob discovers that Evan has died… so what should one do with such a novel????
I am shivering after reading this! I saw the cover once somewhere, and I didn’t pay much mind to it. But after reading this synopsis, I am so sure that I will be hunting this book down until it is on sale! You have to read the rest of the blurb of this book, and you will be hitting the 1-click buy button so hard that your computer will break!
