“Life, with its rules, its obligations, and its freedoms, is like a sonnet: You’re given the form, but you have to write the sonnet yourself.” ― Madeleine L’Engle, A Wrinkle in Time

I first had to read part of this book in a class and I did not understand anything of it, but this book is quite complex to just read a random chapter and understand what is going on in its universe. The second book of my book club and it has been quite an experience only once an audiobook has impressed me this much.

The narration and the performer are amazing and outside of this world! She changes her voice totally for all the characters! You can totally follow the story just with her voices, such an experience! I will totally recommend you to check out the audiobook if you can! You better! You can totally do it! Here, a free trial from Audible! :3

The main character was at some point so annoying and immature. More at the end of the book than at the beginning. The message the author wants us to see through this character, or at least that is what I see, is to love yourself even with all your flaws. Besides, this title is for “kids” so I really like that message.

The three Ws are so mysterious and so powerful! Their original was so celestial! So ethereal! I like to see them like the three sisters from Greek mythology. The Moirai! Of even so sort of Trinity. They were so powerful and full of love that I can totally see them being this holy or the guardians of the destiny of the universe. Now, regarding the trailer for the new adaptation, I am not sure if Oprah and the rest of the girls are even close to looking like the three Ws… I mean they were old and to be honest they were quite weird…

The ending the ending… it could be more open because the words might have gone out of the book. That ending is so obvious that is for you to rest of the book. Would I? Maybe but not now. I think that the main conflict in this book was Father and we know how that ended.

In general, I like the book a lot and the whole science and sci-fi elements were primordial. To tesser, the dimensions, the Wrinkles are quite informative and I learned a lot out of that part. The way the author mixes fantasy, adventure, children and heavy physics is so beautifully done that I must say that was easy to understand!
